Mike Purcell, our 75th ranked defensive end, is best suited to be a primary backup. We project he will end up with the Atlanta Falcons because they could use a player of this quality to play defensive end. The Falcons currently have only 2 healthy defensive ends, and none are rated better than Purcell.

The Falcons currently have no defensive ends under contract beyond the 2026 season, so Purcell may only be getting a short term deal, considering his age, with the team.
