Anthony Lanier, our 101st ranked defensive end, is best suited to be a primary backup. We project he will end up with the New York Giants because they could use a player of this quality to play defensive end. The Giants currently have only 0 healthy defensive ends, and none are rated better than Lanier.

The Giants currently have no defensive ends under contract beyond the 2028 season, so Lanier may only be getting a short term deal, considering his age, with the team.
