James Vaughters, our 93rd ranked defensive end, is best suited to be a primary backup. We project he will end up with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers because they could use a player of this quality to play defensive end. The Buccaneers currently have only 2 healthy defensive ends, and 2 are rated better than Vaughters: (William Gholston and Pat O'Connor).

The Buccaneers currently have no defensive ends under contract beyond the 2027 season, so Vaughters may only be getting a short term deal, considering his age, with the team.
