James Looney, our 94th ranked defensive end, is best suited to
be a primary backup. We project he will end up with the Miami Dolphins because they
could use a player of this quality after losing Da'Shawn Hand for an extended period of time. The Dolphins
currently have 3 healthy defensive ends, and 2 are
rated better than Looney: (Zach Sieler and Chase Winovich).
The Dolphins currently have no
defensive ends under contract beyond the 2027 season,
so Looney might get longer than a one year deal with the team.
