Trevon Mathis, our 90th ranked cornerback, is best suited to be a primary backup. We project he will end up with the Atlanta Falcons because they could use a player of this quality after losing Mike Hughes for an extended period of time. The Falcons currently have 3 healthy cornerbacks, and none are rated better than Mathis.

The Falcons currently have no cornerbacks under contract beyond the 2027 season, so Mathis might get longer than a one year deal with the team.
