Deatrick Nichols, our 89th ranked cornerback, is best suited to be a primary backup. We project he will end up with the Jacksonville Jaguars because they could use a player of this quality after losing Ronald Darby for an extended period of time. The Jaguars currently have 7 healthy cornerbacks, and 3 are rated better than Nichols: (Montaric Brown, Jarrian Jones, and Tyson Campbell).

The Jaguars currently have no cornerbacks under contract beyond the 2027 season, so Nichols may only be getting a short term deal, considering his age, with the team.
