We project he will end up back with the Los Angeles Lakers because they could use a player of this quality to play small forward. The Lakers currently have only 0 healthy small forwards, and none are rated better than Doumbouya.

The Lakers currently have no small forwards under contract beyond the 2026 season, so Doumbouya could see a potential long term contract with the team.
