Paxton Lynch, our 45th ranked quarterback, is best suited to be a primary backup. We project he will end up with the Chicago Bears because they could use a player of this quality after losing Nathan Peterman for an extended period of time. The Bears currently have only 2 healthy quarterbacks, and none are rated better than Lynch.

The Bears currently have no quarterbacks under contract beyond the 2027 season, so Lynch may only be getting a short term deal, considering his age, with the team.
