Neal Sterling, our 179th ranked tight end, is best suited to
be a depth backup. We project he will end up with the Carolina Panthers because they
could use a player of this quality to play tight end. The Panthers
currently have 6 healthy tight ends, and 3 are
rated better than Sterling: (Tommy Tremble, Jatavion Sanders, and Ian Thomas).
The Panthers currently have no
tight ends under contract beyond the 2027 season,
so Sterling may only be getting a short term deal, considering his age, with the team.
