Jason Thompson, our 93rd ranked safety, is best suited to be a primary backup. We project he will end up with the Cincinnati Bengals because they could use a player of this quality to play safety. The Bengals currently have only 2 healthy safetys, and none are rated better than Thompson.

The Bengals currently have no safetys under contract beyond the 2026 season, so Thompson might get longer than a one year deal with the team.
