Jason Thompson, our 95th ranked safety, is best suited to be a primary backup. We project he will end up with the Cincinnati Bengals because they could use a player of this quality to play safety. The Bengals currently have 5 healthy safetys, and 2 are rated better than Thompson: (Vonn Bell and Daxton Hill).

The Bengals currently have no safetys under contract beyond the 2027 season, so Thompson may only be getting a short term deal, considering his age, with the team.
