Demarquis Gates, our 263rd ranked linebacker, is best suited to be a depth backup. We project he will end up with the New Orleans Saints because they could use a player of this quality after losing Ryan Connelly for an extended period of time. The Saints currently have 9 healthy linebackers, and 3 are rated better than Gates: (Zack Baun, Pete Werner, and Ty Summers).

The Saints currently have no linebackers under contract beyond the 2027 season, so Gates is probably looking at a one year deal, due to his rank, with the team.
