A.J. Derby, our 44th ranked tight end, is best suited to be a primary backup. We project he will end up with the Cleveland Browns because they could use a player of this quality to play tight end. The Browns currently have 3 healthy tight ends, and none are rated better than Derby.

The Browns currently have no tight ends under contract beyond the 2026 season, so Derby may only be getting a short term deal, considering his age, with the team.
