Jabari Bird, our 32nd ranked shooting guard, is best suited to be a primary backup. We project he will end up with the Dallas Mavericks because they could use a player of this quality to play shooting guard. The Mavericks currently have 105 healthy shooting guards, and none are rated better than Bird.

The Mavericks currently have no shooting guards under contract beyond the 2027 season, so Bird could see a potential long term contract with the team.
