Troy Apke, our 127th ranked safety, is best suited to be a primary backup. We project he will end up with the Houston Texans because they could use a player of this quality after losing Kareem Jackson for an extended period of time. The Texans currently have 8 healthy safetys, and 1 is rated better than Apke: (Adrian Amos).

The Texans currently have no safetys under contract beyond the 2027 season, so Apke is probably looking at a one year deal, due to his rank, with the team.
